Move the Stansted Western Hold

A forum for discussion of the NATS Terminal Control North (TCN) proposal to put the Stansted Western Hold and associated air traffic over the area betwen Newmarket and Haverhill in West Suffolk and East Cambs, and how best to oppose this.

    This forum is for discussion of the NATS "Terminal Control North" proposal, and in particular the proposal to locate the "Stansted Western Hold" (i.e. the area where planes approaching Stansted from the west stack and wait for a landing slot) over the area of countryside between Newmarket and Haverhill in West Suffolk and East Cambs. The objective of the forum is to give residents, organisations and businesses in this area who want to oppose the location of the stack here a place to ask questions, give answers, share information, and help each other oppose the NATS proposal in the most effective way. The forum is open to anyone, but please don't use it for purposes not relevant to these objectives. Anyone doing this may be banned from the forum and/or the material he submitted may removed.

    Put questions which you have asked, or plan to ask, or would like to ask NATS prior to the end of the consultation, and the answers, if you have them. These are questions where the answers would help us understand the NATS proposal, and to formulate our response as convincingly as possible.
