| Rural Broadband | I organised an entry into the EEDA's Connecting Communities competition, called the Stourhead Broadband scheme. The scheme covered the villages of Brinkley, Burrough Green, Great & Little Bradley, Great & Little Thurlow, Great & Little Wratting, Kedington, Hundon, Barnardiston and Wickhambrook. We did not win any funding in the competition. The whole rural broadband scenario was made to look rather silly by BT's change of policy, which brought limited broadband to rural villages (in my case up to 1Mbps) faster than any of these alternative schemes could match. Of course, when they can no longer increase the speed of their copper lines fast enough to keep up with customer demand (which will happen very soon, in my view) the whole thing will have to start again.
